As a Utah Home Builder, we understand the importance of mental health care, especially in the construction industry. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly increased stress and uncertainty, which has taken a toll on the well-being of our employees and others in the housing industry.

To address this, we have taken proactive measures to support our employees' mental health. In addition to the services covered by our insurance plan, we offer the assistance of Blunovas, the world's first proactive mental health training and support platform. All our employees and their loved ones have access to a care center where they can find mental health providers and receive support through calls or texts.

Last year, we collaborated with Utah Community Builders and the Salt Lake Chamber to create "Total Safety: A Guide to Resilience and Mental Fitness in the Construction Industry." This guide equips construction employers with tools and best practices to prevent suicides and promote well-being in the workforce. We encourage our supervisors to communicate the available crisis intervention resources and let workers know about the mental health support covered by our insurance.

Supporting the mental and physical well-being of our employees not only promotes a positive work environment but also contributes to better recruitment and retention. When employees feel valued and cared for, they can bring their whole selves to work, leading to higher engagement and improved performance.
