Ivory Homes is now offering 13 Quick Move-In Homes in Manga and Grantsville under our workforce housing initiative. These beautiful homes have been specially designated to provide affordable housing for Utah’s most vital workforce.
What Is Workforce Housing?
Workforce housing is an initiative under the Clark and Christine foundation that provides affordable housing for vital workers. Vital workers include public employees, police officers, firefighters, nurses, teachers, and a variety of other professions. Ivory’s workforce housing initiative was introduced in 2017. According to a study conducted by 2KUTV that year, “only 8.8% of housing options in 2017 were affordable to a first-year public school teacher or a similar public service profession.” To date, the program has helped 562 families. The initiative provides vital workers with many benefits, including $2,000 towards closing costs, added amenities like stainless steel refrigerators and blinds, full yard landscaping, caliper trees, and sprinkler systems.
