At this year’s Ivory Institute, we reflected on the incredible journey of Ivory Homes—Utah’s Number One Homebuilder® for over 36 years—and celebrated the collective efforts that have brought us to this point.

A Commitment to Excellence

Clark Ivory opened the event with heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the diverse group of contributors who make our success possible: our Ivory team, subcontractors, land sellers, development partners, and professional associates. This teamwork embodies the mission Ellis Ivory established decades ago:

“To Build Quality Homes with Lasting Value, Year After Year, Producing Happy Customers Who Buy Again and Refer Others to Ivory, and to Provide a Great Life for All Who Work on the Ivory Team.”

This guiding principle was updated three years ago to include a focus on uplifting the broader community—a reflection of our dedication to making a positive impact across Utah.

Making an Impact Across Utah

Today, Ivory Homes has over 1,500 homes under construction, including:

    •    713 single-family homes for buyers

    •    343 student apartments

    •    284 luxury apartments

    •    184 affordable homes.

Additionally, we’ve announced projects for over 1,000 affordable apartments and townhomes, affirming our commitment to addressing housing affordability at every level. Every step up the housing ladder opens a door for another family, creating a ripple effect that strengthens our communities.

Staying Local, Staying Consistent

Amid the growing presence of national builders, Ivory Homes remains a local, family-owned builder. Unlike other companies that have sold to international corporations, we’re committed to investing in Utah. Nearly one-third of our earnings go directly into local communities, while the remainder funds future neighborhoods—securing 30,000+ lots for years to come.

Clark reminded us that while companies once averaged 40 years in business, today that number has dwindled to 20. Ivory Homes, however, stands apart. With more than twice the number of homes built as our closest competitor, we’re a testament to consistency, resilience, and a deep understanding of Utah’s unique needs.

Building the Future Together

We also celebrated the dedication of our team members, recognizing those who have been with us for 10, 15, 20, and 25+ years. These individuals embody our mission and help bring our vision to life. The event highlighted exciting new communities for 2025, including developments with up to 2,000+ lots, such as Pelican Point and Cedar Crest.

Looking Ahead

As Clark stated, “What truly makes us #1 is our ongoing commitment to stay the course, year after year.” We remain focused on delivering homes that meet the evolving needs of Utah families, contributing to the state’s growth and prosperity.

Thank you to everyone who plays a role in this journey. Together, we’re not just building homes—we’re building a legacy.
